It has been confirmed in 11 U.S. states, including Nevada and Arizona.
The first U.S. swine flu death was confirmed in Texas.
Countries with confirmed cases now include Mexico, the U.S., Germany, Austria, Canada, Britain, Israel, New Zealand and Spain.
The World Health Organization raised the alert level to one notch below a full-fledged global pandemic.
