TOOELE (AP) — A man has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges for cutting off the heads of two pet goats last Halloween.

Orion Kent Mitchell Stoltman, 20, of Springville, also pleaded guilty to class B misdemeanor theft in exchange for having prosecutors drop two other charges.

He faces up to 2 1/2 years in jail. Sentencing is June 9 in 3rd District Court.

The goats, named Daisy and Duke, were found beheaded outside an elementary school.
