EAGLE MOUNTAIN — The first full-service grocery store is coming to Eagle Mountain.
On April 27, Mayor Heather Jackson, Coop's Market owner Phillip Cooper and others turned over the first shovels of dirt on a 10-acre site that will be home to the new store. Construction of Coop's Market is expected to be completed in November.
The store will figure prominently in a new shopping center. Additional retail space will occupy 5 acres at the site.
Located at 9362 N. Ranches Parkway, the 50,000-square-foot grocery store will feature a bakery, a deli, an organic food section, a fresh meat counter and a fresh produce section, as well as a drive-through and indoor pharmacy. The store will also be home to a branch of the America First Credit Union.
Coop's Market will be a member of the Associated Foods stores and employ somewhere between 75 and 125 people.
