The Pentagon is releasing $10.7 million of economic stimulus money for improvements at Utah's Tooele Army Depot and Dugway Proving Ground, Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, announced Tuesday.

"This money will help with a backlog of maintenance projects such as outmoded power-generating equipment and dilapidated buildings," Matheson said.

The largest expenditure, $7.5 million, is to repair Dugway's power plant and to replace failed generators there. Other Dugway projects include reroofing the provost marshal office, upgrading electrical service at the main gate and building a mobile command post garage.

Tooele Army Depot will receive $265,000 for road repair.
