PAYSON — A 73-year-old Heber City woman died Tuesday when her vehicle rolled on I-15 near the south end of Payson.
Veda Brierley was traveling north in a white pickup truck about 1:30 p.m. when the truck started to drift..
"She drifted to the left and then overcorrected to the right, and the car rolled off the freeway," Utah Highway Patrol trooper Cameron Roden said. "We are still unsure exactly what caused her to drift over."
Roden said Brierley was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene of the accident.
The lanes were closed only briefly while troopers investigated the accident.
