The newly built Wal-Mart in Saratoga Springs will open today at 7:30 a.m.
The store will add 184,000 square feet of retail to a largely retail-deficient area of Utah County. Until now, residents from three surrounding cities have been trekking into American Fork to find bargains at the closest big-box store development.
The new store will add about 400 jobs and likely spur more retail growth in the area, according to city officials.
