Places to take mom for brunch on Mother's Day
Mother's Day events are taking place at the following venues:
Viking Cooking School is offering a Mother's Day Rose Package that includes three cooking classes of her choice for $159. Viking will make a gift package with a fresh rose to be picked up May 8. The special is available only on call-in orders at 801-464-0113.
Market Street Grill Cottonwood, 2985 E. 6580 South, is offering a Mother's Day brunch, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and dinner, 4-9 p.m. (801-942-8860). The adjacent Oyster Bar Cottonwood is offering brunch, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and dinner, 4-9:30 p.m. (801-942-8870).
Market Street Grill Downtown, 48 W. Market St., is offering Mother's Day brunch, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and dinner, 4-9 p.m. (801-322-4668). The adjacent Oyster Bar Downtown is offering brunch, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and dinner, 3-9 p.m. (801-531-6044).
Market Street Grill South Jordan, 10702 S. River Front Parkway, is offering Mother's Day brunch, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and dinner, 4-9 p.m. (801-302-2262). The adjacent Oyster Bar South Jordan is offering brunch, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (801-302-2264).
Market Street Grill University, 260 S. 1300 East, is offering Mother's Day dinner, 4-9 p.m. (801-583-8808).
Log Haven is offering a fixed-price Mother's Day menu, noon-5 p.m. The four-course meal is $36.95 for adults and $19.95 for children under age 12. Entree choices include roast pork loin roulade, poached wild salmon, honey-balsamic roasted New York strip steak, or roasted Maitake mushroom (801-272-8255 or www.log-haven.com.)
Vienna Bistro, 132 S. Main, is offering a Mother's Day brunch, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., for $25 per person. The menu includes fruit, yogurt, oven-roasted potatoes and a choice of eggs Benedict, Austrian farmer's breakfast, three-egg omelet, "Emperors Pancake," or shirred eggs. Afternoon guests have entree choices of kasespatzle, Frody's ribs or chicken schnitzel (801-322-0334 or www.viennabistro.com).
