WSU basketball: Weber State inks junior college guard

OGDEN — Weber State men's basketball coach Randy Rahe has signed Franklin Sessions, a 6-foot-2 guard, to a national letter of intent to play for the Wildcats in 2009-2010. Sessions comes to Weber State from Saddleback Junior College in Mission Viejo, Calif.

Sessions attended Jordan High in Los Angeles. He enrolled at Irvine Valley JC his freshman season where he played for coach Andy Ground and helped lead his team to a conference championship.

He followed Ground to Saddleback JC for the 2008-09 season where he was named the Orange Empire Conference MVP. He averaged 14.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
