A 23-year-old man who was celebrating his birthday with his wife and friends was in fair condition Thursday after the party ended with him being stabbed by his wife, according to police.
The incident happened just after 3 a.m. near 750 North and 900 West, police said. The man got into an argument with his wife, possibly over money concerns, said Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan. The argument culminated with the wife stabbing her husband in the chest with a steak knife, he said.
Noa Uesele, 21, was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault.
