"The Line" (Cinevolve/Blu-ray, 2009, $29.95)

Stop me if you've heard this one: two disparate cops — one a straight-arrow and the other as thuggish as the criminals he pursues — are reluctantly thrown together to investigate an Asian gang killing. But, of course, the case is not as simple as it seems. The only twist is that they're Australian cops and their town is Melbourne. Some solid action but nothing new. (Unrated but contains violence, language, drugs and nudity.)

Predictable revenge yarn has a disgraced Iraq-war vet (Max Martini) coming home to find his brother in a coma after sparring in a vicious underground fight club. The usual mindless brutality.

In this alleged comedy, a stripper recruits her fellow exotic dancers as hair stylists to keep her brother's beauty salon alive. The usual mindless sleaze.
