Utah Grizzlies: Grizz duo sent back to teams

WEST VALLEY CITY — Utah Grizzlies head coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced Tuesday that forward James Sixsmith has rejoined the Milwaukee Admirals and Mike Walsh was sent back to the Grand Rapids Griffins for their respective playoff runs.

Sixsmith finished the playoffs for Utah with three goals and one assist in three games after rejoining Utah from the Admirals for Game 3 of their series. Milwaukee currently leads Rockford 3-0 in their first-round series. Sixsmith spent 32 games in the AHL this past season, including 24 with Milwaukee, tallying three goals and six assists.

Walsh had four assists in five playoff games for the Grizzlies. The Griffins currently lead Hamilton 2-1 in their first-round playoff series. He played 15 games with Grand Rapids during the regular season and had three goals and one assist.

Utah's season concluded Saturday in the playoffs with a loss to Alaska. On Monday, the team awarded Colley a multi-year contract extension.
