Opponents of Sen. Orrin Hatch beware.

He may have a new plan on how to get his way in the Senate that involves seeing actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson elected there, so that together they can "just kick the crap out of some of these people."

Hatch's comments came during a videotaped interview with Politico at a motion-picture-industry event designed to remind Congress how that industry helps create jobs and business.

Politico asked The Rock if he plans to run for Congress. He said that he is flattered that he is often asked that question, but for the time being, he is happy trying to have an impact by making good movies. "That's a long-winded answer to say, 'You never know,' " The Rock said.

Politico then asked Hatch if he thinks The Rock, a beefy former college-football player, pro wrestler and actor of tough-guy roles, would be a good fit for the Senate. Hatch said, "I'd hate to have him run against me, that's all I can say."

Then Hatch added with a smile, "I think it would be nice to have somebody in the Senate who could stand with me and just kick the crap out of some of these people."

A video of the interview is available at: www.politico.com/news/stories/0409/21505.html
