RENO — The Bees proved to be the perfect guest for the christening of the new ballpark in downtown Reno, as the Aces pummeled Salt Lake 11-1 on Friday night. After the Bees grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI single by Chris Pettit, Reno scored three runs in the bottom of the first and two more in the second to take a 5-1 lead and never looked back.
Salt Lake starter Mike MacDonald (0-1) lasted just one and one-third inning and allowed five runs on four hits.
