Socialistic, atheist political indoctrination does not deserve headliner presentation (Readers' Forum, April 17). Are we to believe what our founders said concerning their faith in Jesus Christ, or ought we to broadcast what their detractors say about their beliefs? The fathers of our country openly confessed their Christianity. Socialists always view the government as though it were the nation, as did Gavin Wilde's assertion: "We are a secular republic." Lets get it straight! It is a secular republic. We are a Christian nation. A religious government cannot be trusted to protect the rights of the Christian majority nor of the multitude of religious minorities. As long as we are a Christian majority we can still change this at the polls, but only if we vote as Christians, not as puppets of secular politicians.
