WEST VALLEY CITY — Valley Fair Mall management has announced five new restaurants that have opened or are expected to open in coming months: Olive Garden, Wingers Grill & Bar, TGI Fridays, In-N-Out Burger and Smashburger.

Olive Garden opened in mid-March, according to a press release sent Wednesday by the mall. Wingers, which specializes in barbecue chicken wings, will open in July.

Construction is under way for Fridays. Ground will be broken this fall for In-N-Out, which will open four other restaurants along the Wasatch Front, according to the mall statement. Smashburger is also new to Utah. Ground will be broken for that restaurant also this fall.

Valley Fair, at 3601 S. 2700 West, is owned by Coventry III/Satterfield Helm Valley Fair LLC, based in Sandy. In April 2008, a redevelopment project began but since been scaled back.
