SAN ANTONIO — Starting small forward C.J. Miles will miss a third straight game when the Jazz visit San Antonio tonight.
Andrei Kirilenko again will start in his place.
Miles has out since dislocating the index finger on his left, shooting hand in last Friday's loss to Minnesota.
The Jazz first called Miles out "day-to-day," then were calling him "doubtful" for games this week.
But Miles knew, and has said, all along that he'd miss all three — because that's the timetable he was given when initially injured.
Miles shot during today's morning shootaround, but with limited range. His injured finger remains taped to the one next to it, forcing him to adjust his grip on the ball when shooting.
Miles said today he isn't sure if he'll be able to play when the Jazz return home to face Golden State on Saturday night.
Meanwhile today, coach Jerry Sloan was ill and missed this morning's shootaround. Assistant Phil Johnson conducted the short session. Sloan is expected to coach tonight, a team spokesman said.
