West Valley City is offering residents free tickets to the Utah Grizzlies hockey game on April 17 at 7:05 p.m.

The passes are a result of the city purchasing 40 percent of the team last month, said city spokesman Aaron Crim. City officials want to welcome the community to use its new asset.

The game is part of ECHL's West Division semifinals against the Alaska Aces.

Tickets are available at the E Center box office, 3200 S. Decker Lake Drive. Each household will receive up to four tickets when they show either proof of address or identification from a West Valley school. The passes will be available until 1 p.m. the day of the game.
