SNOWVILLE — A rollover crash on I-84 killed a Washington state woman Saturday morning.
Joyce A. Moore, of Kelso, Wash., rolled her car on a stretch of Box Elder County road just before noon, according to a report from the Utah Highway Patrol.
"It appears the driver may have become distracted," the report states. "She had just negotiated a curve in the roadway when she drifted into the median and overcorrected. …"
Moore, 47, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, according to the Highway Patrol. She was taken to Bear River Valley Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
An Alaskan husky-type dog stayed next to Moore until an ambulance arrived but later ran away and was not found, the report states.
