A man police regard as a serial Peeping Tom who was arrested after being discovered hiding in the showers of the girls' locker room at Brighton High School has pleaded guilty to five counts of voyeurism.

Brian Richard Lee, 45, is scheduled to be sentenced April 24 for the five class B misdemeanors, which each carry a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a fine.

As part of a plea bargain, a third-degree felony charge of burglary and a class B misdemeanor charge of lewdness were dismissed.

Lee was discovered hiding behind a shower curtain in the girls' locker room the evening of Oct. 29, 2008, when a dance recital was in progress. One teenage girl spotted something suspicious, pulled the curtain back and discovered Lee crouching there with his pants down, according to court documents. Lee yanked his pants back up and dashed out of the room.

Several girls raced after him into the school's parking lot and used their cell phones to contact police. Lee was arrested just as he was getting into his car.

This was not the first time it has happened, according to prosecutor Alicia Cook. "We find his behavior very concerning," she said previously.

Lee's arrest history extends to 1992, and he has been found in girls' locker rooms at schools in Weber and Davis counties.

His guilty pleas do not result in him automatically being listed on Utah's Sex Offender Registry.
