FILLMORE (AP) — Five high school students were taken to a hospital after a charter bus crashed into a semitrailer about 20 miles south of Fillmore in Millard County.
Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Cameron Roden says the crash happened early Monday on northbound I-15. The semitrailer lost control, and the cab and trailer separated. The cab went off the road, but the trailer was left on the highway and spilled cabinets.
The bus couldn't avoid the trailer and hit its side. The bus didn't overturn, but some windows were broken. Five choir students from Payson High School were taken to a Fillmore hospital for minor cuts and whiplash. There were 54 people on the bus.
