ZION NATIONAL PARK, Utah — The Zion National Park shuttle system is scheduled to resume operation on April 4, signaling the start of the 2009 visitor season.
The shuttle system is now in its 10th year. While the shuttles are in operation, Zion Canyon Scenic Drive will be closed to private vehicles, except to guests going to and from the Zion Lodge.
Hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. and will expand as the summer season progresses.
The shuttles operate within the park and the town of Springdale and provide access to points of interest, trailheads and the Zion Lodge. The Springdale Loop and Canyon Loop each serve nine stops.
