Lehi

Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to play in the soil (no such thing as dirt). When my mom thought she had lost me I would be found in the nearest pile of loose soil playing around. From a young age, I was intrigued by how plants grew. I would help my mother in the garden every year and started taking on more of the responsibility. Locating and hauling manure, collecting leaves from neighbors for mulch and consulting older gardeners on techniques, I have helped increase the overall production of my home garden. I have gained school credit from working in my garden as well as provided food for my family that I have canned or frozen to feed us all year round.

SCHOLARSHIP: Ranks 6 out of 611; GPA is 3.9; ACT is 26.

AWARDS AND PROJECTS: Academic all-state; FFA Lehi chapter president ; Food for American and Farm Field Days programs; first place area contest Parliamentary Procedure Team.
