I have an enormous passion for computers and I plan to work in this area in the future. I was recently accepted on early action to the California Institute of Technology, and plan on pursuing a major in computer science there. I particularly like Web design over normal applications programming. I enjoy the challenge of supporting three engines instead of the usual one, as well as the reward of seeing my work from anywhere in the world. I also think that the Web is where the future of computers is headed. As I grow up, I see the Internet growing up as well with more and more of the functionality of computers being traded to the Internet with online applications supporting file storage, word processing, remote sessions, media viewing and even entire online operating systems.

SCHOLARSHIP: Ranks 20 out of 499; GPA is 3.9; ACT is 35.

AWARDS AND PROJECTS: West High Math and Science club president; National Honors Society; volunteered at Tracy Aviary; AP Scholar with Distinction; National Merit semifinalist.
