Do not wish failure

It's disturbing to see Republicans reveling in the apparent failures of Democrats. It's even more disturbing to see Republicans wishing the Democrats harm and wishing Democratic leadership would fail. Wishing for President Barack Obama's failure implies wishing for the deaths of American servicemen overseas, no progress in Iraq or Afghanistan, the loss of property, livelihoods and sometimes lives among thousands of Americans. In my view, this is a treasonous attitude.
