SOFTBALL: The Cougars concluded a 33-game road trip by splitting two games on Saturday to improve to 19-14 on the season. The Cougars defeated Dartmouth, 8-0, before falling to falling to Cal Poly, 4-1.

Sophomore Paige Affleck earned the win against Dartmouth as the BYU offense generated enough firepower to eight-run the Big Green. She struck out eight batters, allowing only two hits over five innings.

Seniors Stephanie Hopkins and Monica Gonzales led the team. Hopkins was 3-for-3 with a trey of singles and one RBI, while Gonzales was 2-for-2, drawing one walk and driving in two runners.
