Stage auditions

"Beauty and the Beast," March 26 and 27, 6-9 p.m., SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 S. State, Orem.

All auditioners should be prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway-style song; an accompanist and CD player will be provided. No appointment necessary.

Performances are June 5-20, directed by Jerry Elison.

"Go Back for Murder," Holladay Arts Council, March 25, 7-9 p.m., Casto Room, Holladay City Hall, 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay.

This production will be a staged reading of the Agatha Christie classic and only requires four rehearsal nights.

Please bring a non-memorized piece from a modern play. This can be a one-two minute monologue, or two auditioners can join forces for a two- to four-minute scene.

Performance night is April 24, directed by Beth Bruner.

"The Importance of Being Earnest," StageRight TheaterCompany, March 28, 10 a.m.-noon, The Village Green, 395 S. State, Clearfield.

Please prepare a one-minute comic monologue, or two actors can join forces for a two-minute scene.

"Master Class," March 23, 3-6 p.m., by appointment only, Salt Lake Acting Company, 168 W. 500 North.

Sides from the script are available along with 16 bars of arias from the play, an accompanist will be provided. Or, auditioners may choose 16 bars of a different aria or musical number that shows your range. If that is the case, please bring a CD of your accompaniment. The role of Maria Callas has been cast. Actors must also bring a headshot and resume.

"Oklahoma!" Taylorsville Arts Council, March 28, Fire Station meeting room, 2700 W. 5400 South, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Please be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of music that portrays a character; an accompanist will be provided. Actors will also learn a short dance. All roles are open.

Performances are June 10-15, directed by Karrie Ann Ogilvie.

"Singin' in the Rain," Hale Center Theater Orem, March 24, by appointment only, held at Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy, 531 N. State, Lindon.

Please prepare 16 bars of a song from the show or in the style of the show; an accompanist will be provided. Some will be asked to attend a separate dance audition on March 25.
