PROVO — A fight between two rival gangs broke out in the food court at Provo Towne Centre about 8 p.m. Friday night, police said.
During the fight, a 17-year-old was hit in the face above his right eye with a pair of brass knuckles, said senior officer David Moore with the Provo City Police Department.
Juan Martinez-Godinez, 18, was booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of rioting with a gang enhancement, a second-degree felony.
Thirteen people were involved in the incident, but police are still investigating and are attempting to identify others involved. No other injuries were reported.
Moore said those involved were members of rival gangs.
