Gretchen Bloyer, who is charged with two counts of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, waived a preliminary hearing in her case on Thursday and will be arraigned April 17.
Bloyer, 53, who lived with and cared for her parents who are in their 80s, was charged in connection with a Dec. 4, 2008, incident in which prosecutors say Bloyer left her father's car running in the garage for about six hours. Court documents say Bloyer later called her sister to tell her what she had done and "to see if her parents were dead."
Prosecutors said the parents were not hurt and the father, in time, realized the car was running and went to the garage to shut it off.
