The following DVDs will be released Tuesday:

"Azur & Asmar: The Princes' Quest" (Weinstein, $19.98) — ★★ — A so-so French import, which boasts some less-than-impressive digital animation work. Dubbed

PG (violence, vulgarity, slurs, brief partial nudity)

"Chrysalis" (Anchor Bay, $26.97) — French-made police thriller from 2007, with strong science-fiction elements. French with subtitles.

Not rated, probable R (violence)

"Elegy" (Sony, $27.96) — ★★★ — Ben Kingsley is part of a rock-solid acting ensemble that makes this faulty drama better than it should be.

R (sex, nudity, profanity, vulgarity, slurs)

"Goal II: Living the Dream" (Genius, $19.95) — Sequel to the 2005 sports film, starring Kuno Becker as a soccer player.

Special features: Deleted scenes, bloopers, behind-the-scenes mini-documentary.

PG-13 (violence, sex)

"Punisher: War Zone" (Lionsgate, $29.95) — ★ — Bodily fluids and the sounds they generate are a big part of this gory and wholly unsatisfying slasher film.

Special features: Trailers; two-disc special edition ($34.98) features behind-the-scenes mini-documentary, footage cut from theatrical release, digital copy of the film.

R (profanity, sex) "Van Wilder: Freshman Year" (Paramount, $19.95) — Direct-to-DVD "prequel," starring Jonathan Bennett as the hard-partying character.

R (vulgarity, sex, profanity, drugs)

"The Velveteen Rabbit" (Anchor Bay, $24.97) — ★★ — The animated fantasy sequences are more memorable than the live-action ones.

G (violence)

"Walled In" (Anchor Bay, $26.97) — Horror movie starring Mischa Barton as a woman trapped in a haunted building.

R (violence)

"Wuthering Heights" (WGBH, $24.99) — Public television version of the Emily Bronte novel, with Tom Hardy playing Heathcliff.
