Members of the Jordan River Watershed Council and the public will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Salt Lake County Government Center in Room N2003 to discuss a recently completed study on types of pollution and their extent in the Jordan River.

The draft document, on which public comment is being accepted through March 16, is a comprehensive review of the "pollution loads" in the river and potential sources for the pollutants.

County, state and other water quality representatives have been involved in the information gathering stage for years. The first phase of the study was completed in spring 2007.

Findings in the study will be presented at the government center at 2001 S. State.
