The Aggies fall to 15-14, 9-7 in the Western Athletic Conference but ended the regular season with its best ever WAC finish. Prior to this season, the best WAC record for the Aggies was 7-9 during the 2006-07 season.
The Aggies have earned the fifth seed in the upcoming WAC Tournament in Reno. USU will take on fourth-seeded Idaho on Wednesday at noon.
USU was led by two of its seniors as Pares scored 13 and Danyelle Snelgro added eight points. Sophomore guard Alice Coddington also added eight points.
The loss was the first time in conference play that USU had lost by more than 12.
