'Milk,' 'Battle in Seattle' out on DVD

The following DVDs will be released Tuesday:

"Battle in Seattle" (Universal, $14.98) — ★★ — The real-life footage is the best part of this fictionalized feature about the deadly 1999 World Trade Organization protests.

"The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" (Miramax, $29.99) — ★★★ — It is upsetting to see a film that appears to be about childhood and innocence end the way this Holocaust drama does.

"Cadillac Records" (Sony, $28.96) — ★★ — Even more cursory and rushed than the average music biopic, a genre that's already lapsing into self-parody.

"Happy-Go-Lucky" (Miramax, $29.99) — ★★½ — Screenwriter/director Mike Leigh's latest is pretty chipper but is also a little plot thin.

"Let the Right One In" (Magnolia, $26.98) — ★★★½ — The Swedish vampire tale does start a little slowly but is rewarding. Swedish with subtitles.
