HEBER — A propane tanker crash closed U.S. 40 for several hours Thursday.
The Utah Highway Patrol said a semitrailer hauling double tankers of 120,000 pounds of propane went off the road and rolled near Strawberry Reservoir.
"It's not leaking," UHP trooper Cameron Roden said. "There's no injuries."
The road was closed while crews recovered the tankers.
After the accident, the Utah Department of Tranportation closed the road eastbound from milepost 20 and westbound from milepost 60 at the Wasatch-Duchesne county line. The road was finally reopened about 2:30 p.m.
