O'Sage, a bloodhound trained by Iron County deputies, is being handed over to the Daggett County Sheriff's Office.
CEDAR CITY — His name is O'Sage, and he's going to be the newest member of the Daggett County Sheriff's Office.
An Iron County sheriff's deputy has been training the bloodhound as part of his own K-9 training program. On Thursday, Iron County sheriff's deputies will hand over O'Sage's leash to Daggett County deputies.
"Part of us getting one for free was to help train another one," Iron County sheriff's deputy Aaron Pallesen said Tuesday.
The Iron County Sheriff's Office has had its own bloodhound for about a year now. Ariel has been trained to find missing people and fleeing suspects.
"He gets called out quite often to help out," said Pallesen.
