Greg Miller, son

Greg Miller said his dad lived a "charmed life."

"I really got a sense of that through the last week I was with him, and I learned more about him. It was a real eye-opener to see how many meaningful relationships he maintained throughout his life with kids that he grew up with, commonly known as the Capitol Hill Gang," he said. "I think that's a wonderful tribute to him, his loyalty and the depth of his friendship."

Greg talked further about his father's loyalty and his devotion to his marriage. "He spent his entire life with one woman," he said. "They had the 50-year anniversary of their first date a couple of weeks before he passed on."

He talked about a devoted family man who raised five children who went on to have 21 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Even at the end of his life, he brought the family closer together, Greg said. "We all loved Dad, he inspired us to be better," he said. "I believe he can live on in all of us as we honor him by doing the things that he did."

Roger Miller, son

Roger Miller said his father was known as Larry H. Miller and "this guy" to many, but to him, Miller was simply "Dad."

"He was a man that loved Utah, both the place and the people," he said.

"I'm not sure I could count the ways that I've benefitted from my dad and the things that he's done for me, personally, and for us, collectively," he said. "I'm proud to say that one of the things that I shared with him was the testimony that Joseph Smith was the prophet and that this church was restored through him, and that Jesus Christ was the Savior.

"I'm very grateful for that — that I will get to see him again," he said. "My dad and Jesus."

Steve Miller, son

Steve Miller said that he could not pay proper tribute to his father without acknowledging "my angel mother and the role she played in his life." Steve also said how he often reflects on the fact that, in a way, he learned many values from his father, through his mother.

"I am grateful for the time I had to be with my father," he said. "And I am grateful that Heavenly Father sent me here to be his son."

Steve told of the many lessons passed down from his father, including honesty, fairness, hard work and many other virtues passed along by a good man to his son. He recounted some of his fondest memories of his father and the fishing trips they took together.

Reading from a heartfelt letter sent to him by his father some 10 years ago, Steve choked up a little at the end where his father expressed love for his son.

"I love you too, Dad," Steve said with a glance upward.

Bryan Miller, son

Bryan Miller said that in many ways, his father was a simple man who had a simple world view.
