I hope the irony of the Legislature's not wanting to infringe on personal rights regarding cell phones and driving isn't wasted. It's hysterical! From their past legislative infringements on abortion, liquor regulation to telling us what days we can buy a car and where we can smoke, their argument is laughable at best and hypocritical at worst.
We've had three deaths on the perimeters of our neighborhood where cell-phone use was a direct contributor. Please give us some tools to help us curb our own teenagers' use of cell phones while driving. Let me be able to say, "It's against the law."
