Honor Miller with 'The Uniform'

Hey, Jazz fans, want to honor Larry Miller?

Want to say thanks to the guy who went into debt up to his eyeballs and risked everything to keep the Jazz from fleeing to Miami, Milwaukee and lots of other places?

Want to show the rest of the country how you feel about one of the best, fairest, most loyal and successful owners in professional sports, ever?

Want to do something unique that would bring a smile to the face of the guy who passed up hundreds of millions of dollars to sell the team because he considered the franchise to be his gift to his beloved home state?

Here's what you do: For the Jazz's next home game — Saturday night against Sacramento — wear the official Larry Miller uniform. You will need:

1. White sneakers.

2. Jeans or khakis.

3. A golf shirt.

Oh, and by the way, a flipped-up collar or an untucked shirt will get you escorted from the arena, thank you.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone in the Lower Bowl left the Armani and the Calvin Klein and the Cole Haans and the Prada and the Rolexes and the Dolce & Gabbana and the Givenchy and Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent and Versace and Zanella — all of that — at home.

They could give high fashion the night off and dress down for Larry.

Memo to Upper Bowl: Just keep wearing what you wear — you'll fit right in.

What a sight: Everyone in the joint dressed like Larry.

Every man, woman and child.

The guys on the radio and TV.

The stat crew.

Jerry Sloan and his assistants.

The Bear.

The ushers and concessionaires.

The Jazz Dancers.

Everyone except the players. They're wearing LHM patches on their uniforms instead.

Is there a better way to show your remembrance of the man who gave you Stockton to Malone?

And brought you two NBA Finals.

And kept his own locker in the locker room and high-fived the players and put up with Karl Malone's shenanigans.
