"The Wonder Warrior," West Jordan Youth Theatre, Feb. 27, 4-6 p.m., and Feb. 28, 1-3 p.m., Sugar Factory Playhouse, 8201 S. 2200 West, West Jordan.
Come prepared with a nursery rhyme or song with sheet music (an accompanist will be provided), or sing a capella. Casting youth 6-18 years old. Looking for dancers, singers and strong voices for shadow-puppet characters.

If you or someone you know is longing to be on stage, or just wants to give a better talk in church, The Academy of Performing Arts is offering workshops taught by actor David Dunard.
The class is designed to offer training to performers of all levels. Beginners will overcome shyness and feel more comfortable speaking in public; more advanced folks will work on the physical, intellectual and creative process.
Dunard has a master's in theater arts, has been in more than 200 films and television roles. He has also taught in Los Angeles for more than 20 years.
Classes are at the Academy of Performing Arts, 2207 S. Main, Mondays, 6:30-9 p.m., or at the Kaysville Encore Performing Arts, 860 W. 300 North, Tuesdays 7-9:30 p.m.
The class is $250 for eight weeks and begins the first week of March.
