A news article related a confidential settlement between Ken Garff Auto and a California based gay-rights organization (Feb 12). They have been supposedly boycotting Garff agencies across six states due to a donation Katherine Garff made to the California Proposition 8 campaign. Mrs. Garff has every constitutional right to donate to whom and what group she wishes. The confidential settlement is, in fact, payment of extortion, and that is a felony. The Garff company has been a major donor to the human rights movement and deserves more than this type of blatant money grubbing by the gay-rights groups.
