Real Salt Lake has partnered with electronic ticketing supplier Veritix to provide ticketless technology for access to events at Rio Tinto Stadium.
The Flash Seats digital-ticketing technology, implemented for the first time Friday for an upcoming May 9 Eagles concert, eliminates the need for a ticket holder to carry a paper ticket to the venue, according to a Real Salt Lake news release. Customers enter one or more credit-card numbers into an online account, and use any of those sources as identification to enter the event.
The news release said that Real Salt Lake's Rio Tinto Stadium was one of the first Major League Soccer venues to adopt the paperless technology, joining the National Basketball Association's Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets.
