Language of love is basically simple mathematics
Mathematics is a language. It describes a falling apple in its particular unique manner, just as English can narrate the story of Newton contemplating gravity. With numbers one can explore the universe, write the laws of motion, explain the quantum magic of sub-atomic particles and define love.
Huh?
Never discussed, for obvious hormonal reasons, in high school algebra classes, there are equations for love. Who would have known mathematicians were so romantic? Like calculating the acceleration of a falling object, these formulas can explain the ups and downs of relationships. They illustrate dating and marriage and even the roots of failure and the falling out of affection. The goal and gift of relationships is unity. The oneness of purpose, feelings and work bring a glory to the togetherness. This collection of numbers describes the law of one.
The law of singleness: 1 + 1 ? 1
Unless both parties are actively engaged in the relationship and committed to the work of unity, there will be none. Selfishness, rigid individualism, isolation and separation do not permit the forces of attraction to work. Emotional personal guarding and loneliness also inhibit intimacy when one member of a relationship cannot or knows not how to open up and drop all barriers of fear of rejection.
The law of disloyalty: 1 + 1 + 1 ? 1
Three is a crowd in relationships. This law states that if there are other things that siphon off attention and loyalty there is no unity. The third digit could be an affair, ghost memories of a flame still smoldering, a pet, a job, an in-law, a parent, or love of anything more than spouse.
The law of unrighteous dominion: 2 + 0 ? 1
Anytime one spouse dominates another there is nothing. Intimidation and violence are sickening and are acts of a coward. Permitting such brutality is a societal sin, but this law also applies to the super egos and the crushing insecurities that are also part of this problem even without physical wounds.
The law of co-dependency: 0 + 0 ? 1.
For example, the afraid and the scared don't add up to much. Addictions endorsed by co-dependency do not equal one.
The law of multiplying and replenishing: 1 X 1 = 1
It is the power of multiplying talents and learning and feelings that make unity. It is not always about procreation. It is the expansion of ideas when one spouse shares and the other listens and then augments the conversation with their personal insights. The feelings bounce back and forth like light upon mirrors.
The law of dividing: 1/1 = 1
