Angry woman exposes breast at elementary school, police say
WEST VALLEY CITY — A mother displayed more than a flash of anger when picking up her fifth-grade daughter recently.
A woman, 31, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Thursday after police say she exposed a bare breast to two juvenile girls outside Monroe Elementary School, 4450 W. 3100 South, West Valley City.
The woman's daughter had been having problems with a couple of girls at school for a short period of time, said Granite Police Chief Randy Johnson. The school had also had "minor behavior issues" with the mother in the past, he said.
On Wednesday, while picking up her daughter from school, the mother saw the two girls and words were exchanged. After the girls talked back to the mother, she exposed one of her breasts to them while still sitting in her car, Johnson said. The mother and the daughter then drove away.
Police were called, the mother was interviewed, and the decision was made to arrest her.
"We could not tolerate this level of behavior, so we took her into custody," Johnson said.
The woman posted bail a short time later.
