Washington has filled half of its recently vacated assistant coaches spots by hiring Jimmie Dougherty as wide receivers coach.
Huskies coach Steve Sarkisian announced the addition Wednesday. Dougherty has spent the past five seasons on the coaching staff at the University of San Diego. He was offensive coordinator there last season.
He replaces Aaron Roderick, who cited family reasons when he returned to be an assistant at Utah a little more than a week after he was hired by Washington late last month.
Sarkisian still needs a new offensive coordinator to replace Jim Michalczik, who left this week to take an assistant's job with the Oakland Raiders.
