PROVO — The public is invited to a free "Evening of Honor for Abraham Lincoln" on his bicentennial birthday Thursday at the Provo City Library at Academy Square, 550 N. University Ave. Brigham Young University political science professor Matt Holland will deliver the keynote address. Public officials will read excerpts from Lincoln's speeches. Other highlights include live music from the Civil War, displays of rare documents from Lincoln's time and a local Lincoln look-a-like.
The event begins at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by the America's Freedom Festival at Provo.
