The Utah Transit Authority and the Salt Lake City Mayor's Office are hosting an open house with cyclists about a proposed bicycle transit center Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake City-County Building, 451 S. State.
The open house follows a meeting of the Mayor's Bicycle Advisory Committee, which aims to make the city more "bicycle friendly."
The bicycle transit center is tentatively proposed for the Intermodal Hub at 300 West and 600 South. It could feature indoor bike parking for cyclists who need storage while they ride trains or buses. It also may have bike rentals and a bike repair and accessory shop.
