The economy's bleak. Times are tough. Maybe a little humor will help.
It's time for the Deseret News' annual limerick contest, and this year's theme is … the Green Stuff: the economy, the bailouts, advice for the fixers and the fixees, money, lack of money, even how going green might help.
Limericks are due Wednesday, March 4. You can mail them to Limericks, P.O. Box 1257, Salt Lake City, UT 84110; drop them off at 30 E. 100 South, Salt Lake City; or e-mail them to features@desnews.com. Send in as many as you like (within reason, of course). We'll pick the best.
First prize will receive a gift certificate for dinner at Archibald's at Gardner Village; other prizes include a book on Ireland, a CD of favorite Irish songs, a bag of green goodies and a decorate-it-yourself green T-shirt.
