Movie reviews by Jeff Vice
NEW FILMS FRIDAY
CHE — ★★— Oddly, Steven Soderbergh's overlong, two-part biographical drama breezes through the crucial background material. Spanish with subtitles; running time: 269 minutes, not rated, probable R (violence, profanity, gore, slurs, brief drugs, vulgarity)
CORALINE —★★★½ — While this stop-motion-animated fantasy film might be a little much for sensitive young viewers, it's visually inventive and captivating. Running time: 101 minutes, PG (violence, vulgarity, slurs, nude artwork)
HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU — ★★ — The movie equivalent of watching somebody learn to juggle. Jennifer Aniston stars. Running time: 129 minutes, PG-13 (sex, vulgarity, profanity) — Roger Moore, The Orlando Sentinel
THE PINK PANTHER 2 — ★½ — What's really sad about this sequel is that its talented star, Steve Martin, took an even-more-active role in its development. Running time: 92 minutes, PG (violence, vulgarity, profanity, slurs, nude artwork)
PUSH — ★½ — Action-thriller about an agency tracking down people with superpowers. Chris Evans stars. Running time: 111 minutes, PG-13 (violence, profanity)
