PROVO — Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a pharmacy for drugs Monday afternoon.
Around 1:40 p.m., police say a man walked into the Edgemont Pharmacy, 3661 N. Canyon Road, and began asking an employee questions about items for sale, said police Capt. Cliff Argyle.
A few minutes later, the man approached the pharmacy counter and handed over a note demanding OxyContin, Argyle said. The note said if the pharmacist did not cooperate, someone would be shot. However, no weapon was observed.
The man took the OxyContin and the note and left the store traveling northeast on foot, Argyle said.
The man is described as being 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, around 190 pounds with light facial hair and a medium-sized bandage on the side of his face. Argyle said the man was last seen wearing a gray and green striped beanie with a faded tan jacket.
Provo police are asking that anyone with information call police dispatch at 801-852-6210.
