This Is the Place Heritage Park set an attendance record for 2008 with 197,233 visitors and is now in the top two living history sites nationally for visitations.

While attendance at living history sites across the nation declined in 2008, This Is the Place Heritage Park continued a pattern of growth that began three years ago, according to Matthew J. Dahl, executive director.

Dahl said the most significant area of attendance growth was regular weekday visitation, traditionally a slower time than holidays. For more park information, go to www.thisistheplace.org.
