Utah Utes gymnastics: Red Rocks land at No. 1 in rankings

For the first time this season, the University of Utah's gymnastics team has taken over the No. 1 spot in the NCAA poll. Utah has the nation's highest raw average of 196.70, thanks to its season-high 197.05 score in a victory Friday night at Oregon State.

The Utes also regained the No. 1 spot as the nation's top vaulting team, averaging 49.30. Individually, Ute junior Annie DiLuzio has moved into third place among floor exercise workers, averaging 9.881; junior Daria Bijak has moved into a tie for third on bars at 9.894; and senior Kristina Baskett is third on vault at 9.912.

Utah hosts BYU and Southern Utah in the Huntsman Center Friday.
